¿Cómo podemos valorizar los lodos férricos ricos en molibdeno generados en la Planta PAMo, recuperando selectivamente Mo y reduciendo o eliminando los costos de extracción, transporte y disposición final?
El objetivo del desafío es identificar y evaluar alternativas tecnológicas, a nivel nacional e internacional, que permitan valorizar los lodos férricos generados en la Planta PAMo, priorizando la recuperación selectiva de molibdeno (Mo) y la reducción o eliminación del costo actual de disposición para CODELCO. De manera complementaria, se podrá evaluar la recuperación de tungsteno (W), vanadio (V), entre otros.
Innovaciones con TRL mayor o igual a 7, con capacidad de avanzar a pruebas de laboratorio y/o pilotaje, y de procesar aproximadamente 4.500 m³/año, considerando variaciones en la ley de Mo (4,4–7,4%) y contenido de sólidos. Se exige proceso transparente, trazabilidad ambiental y gestión de impurezas.
How can we recover value from the Mo-rich ferric sludge generated at the Molybdenum Abatement Plant (PAMo), selectively recovering Mo and reducing or eliminating the costs of extraction, transport and final disposal?
The objective of this challenge is to identify and evaluate technological alternatives, both nationally and internationally, that enable the valorization of ferric sludge generated at the Molybdenum Abatement Plant (PAMo), prioritizing the selective recovery of molybdenum (Mo) and the reduction or elimination of CODELCO's current disposal costs. Complementarily, the recovery of tungsten (W), vanadium (V), and other valuable elements may also be evaluated.
Innovations with a TRL of 7 or higher, able to advance to laboratory and/or pilot testing and to process approximately 4,500 m³/year, accounting for variations in Mo grade (4.4–7.4%) and solids content. A transparent process, environmental traceability and impurity management are required
